Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
At the end of this month I will be aiming to complete the Nottingham Outlaw, an ironman distance triathlon. This will consist of a 2.4 mile open water swim, followed by 112 miles on a bike, and then to finish a marathon, all completed within the allotted time of 17hours!
I entered this event to fulfil a lifelong personal goal but as race day approaches I have decided to also raise some money for charity. The charity I have chosen is KIDS West Midlands, a charity supporting disabled children and their families.
The specific project I will be supporting is that involved in renovating a large static caravan on a campsite in the Cotswolds which gives opportunities for disabled children and their families to have invaluable holidays together when otherwise they would struggle to get away for a much needed break. Every penny raised will go towards this project providing items such as a TV / DVD player, new fridge, sensory equipment and, if enough is raised, a new path to make access more disability friendly.
I can't thank enough those who have already supported me on this 12 month journey, without you, getting to race day would not have been possible.
It now just leaves me to say, thank you, and I will let you know how I get on, on the 27th!
Best Wishes
Neal
