Story
In November I'll be travelling to Ethiopia to work with street children with Retrak, a charity which is a partner to Greater Manchester Police and Greater Manchester East Scouts.
Most importantly, this is self funded, I'll be paying for my flights and using my own leave, so don't think that anything raised will be wasted.
Retrak is unique in that it works to transform highly vulnerable children’s lives, preserve families, and empower communities. They do not run orphanages, but work to reintegrate children into communities and
family units. Through my job and volunteering as a Scout leader, I've seen first hand the difference that family support can make to children.
I'll be taking part in the Great Ethiopia Run whilst there. In the build up to the visit I'll be doing various fundraising events that I'll keep up to date on here.
