Story
On April 13th, I'm joining a cast of thousands to run the London Marathon and, personally, I am trying to achieve a sub 4:00 time before I hang up my trainers on these daft challenges!
But more importantly, I want to raise as much money as I can for the Oswestry Bone Cancer Centre Appeal. For those who don't know, this is part of The Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Shropshire
The Tumour Unit currently delivers a nationally specialised bone tumour service, one of only five in the UK, whilst also treating people with metastatic disease, where cancer has spread to other organs.
The Appeal aims to improve the Unit for patients by providing a dedicated environment specifically designed for their care.
The new Centre will be purpose built to the highest standards. These much improved facilities will include en-suite rooms, treatment areas and a garden reflection space. Construction will hopefully begin in the autumn of this year.
Anything you can donate would be hugely appreciated, whether it's a sub 4:00 target for those optimists amongst you or a 'per mile' amount for those with less faith in my abilities!
