The children have walked 154 miles throughout may 2020, they have completed a virtual cake sale,mini auctions.

They continue to complete mini fundraisers until they have got the final amount.

Cornwall care have lent penberthy £2000 and have ordered the table,now the children need to pay the company back by continuing to fundraise through different ways.

Penberthy is a 30 bed residential home in Newquay,caring for dementia clients providing 24 hr daily care 7 days a week.

It’s a worrying time for the entire nation.  For many of our residents with dementia those worries are particularly heightened as they don’t necessarily understand the impact the current pandemic is having on keeping them safe and well.  As a registered charity, Cornwall Care employs more than 1400 staff to look after 645 people in its 16 care homes.  In addition, they look after many elderly and vulnerable people in their own homes. The charity is working very closely with the NHS during the current crisis – supporting as many people as possible in the local community in order to free up more hospital beds for those needing intensive intervention.

Mason (10) and Phoebe (7),have been inspired by Mia Richardson,so both children are going to walk 154 miles,during their daily exercise time,which is the equivalent of south Cornish coastal walk,Plymouth to Lands End. 

We've chosen this charity as their mum has worked at Penberthy for 16 years,it also holds a special place in their heart as family members have been cared for here.Phoebe and Mason have both dedicated their free time to Penberthy throughout the year and even spent Christmas day 2019 at Penberthy, dressed as elves.

Mason and Phoebe both miss the residents and staff during this pandemic, they feel a magic table would stimulate brain activity,reduce anxiousness, agitation and improve social needs.  They really want to help Penberthy raise funds towards this purchase.
