Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and 'hopefully' donating towards my £2,500 challenge.
As many of you will know, despite me saying 'never again' after the 2006 London Marathon, I have taken up the challenge to run again in 2010, with a pledge to raise £2,500.
This year I am running for Macmillan Cancer Support as those of you who know me will know that unfortunately this is a charity very close to my heart.
The work this charity does in supporting those who have cancer, and those family members close to the individual is second to none so please take the time to sponsor me. No amount is too small (but think of the pain I am putting myself through). To give you a feel for how your donations will help, here are a few facts;
£3,333 pays for a cancer and support information to be stocked with information and resources for a year
£350 pays for a convalescent break for someone with cancer and their carer.
£51 pays for a liquidiser for someone who can't eat solid food as a result of their cancer treatment.
£17.50 pays for a member of a cancer support group to go on a social event with other support group members
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
