Where better to run your first marathon than the original route from Marathon to Athens in the iconic Athens Marathon?
I will be raising money for a charity that has been close to, indeed part of, my family for most of my life - Hertsmere Mencap. It is celebrating its 50th year supporting learning disabled children and adults and their families in the Hertsmere area of South West Hertfordshire. It operates on very limited funds but has an incredibly committed band of volunteers and anything you can give will have a direct impact on the lives of the people it supports.
