Every week on Blackheath we play football and I ask for a donation of £2. Once an equipment kitty of £200 is reached, the rest of the money is given to ATD Fourth World or a guest charity
Families that live in poverty need a break from worry, noise, fear and violence. Living on difficult estates in structually poor accomodation reduces motivation, causes depression and continues a cycle of poverty which prevents escape. Parents can't find jobs or work long hours in horrible conditions. Children don't have days out, don't create or play and are never free from worry.
Please give some cash to provide holidays for poor families so that children get to play in countryside, meet local wildlife, go boating and be creative while their parents are helped with finances, life management skills, cooking and relaxation
