Event: Royal Parks Half Marathon 2022, on 9 October 2022
In 2022 we started on a project to carry out some much needed restoration work at Holy Cross to ensure that this beautiful historic building will continue to serve the community of Fryerns and the rest of Basildon for many years into the future.

Story

Our beautiful Holy Cross has been serving the community for 800 years, but now it needs our help to ensure it can be there for future generations.

Recently the restoration works to make the outside sound have been completed, so now we are embarking on raising funds that will enable the much needed interior works to begin.

The estimated cost for work needed is around £30k.

I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon and would really like a reason to keep going!

Please if you are able to give anything at all, it would be very much appreciated, not just by me, but all those who love this beautiful church now and those who will love it in the future.

Thank you

About the campaign

In 2022 we started on a project to carry out some much needed restoration work at Holy Cross to ensure that this beautiful historic building will continue to serve the community of Fryerns and the rest of Basildon for many years into the future.

About the charity

Our parish churches serve the local communities of Fryerns, Craylands, Beechwood Village and Barstable East in the Essex town of Basildon. We seek to love and worship God, to grow in prayer, flourish in our faith and to joyfully live out the good news of Jesus Christ at the heart of the local community. We see ourselves as a family, inclusive of all, and hope you find a warm welcome with us.
