We empower children through education, to give children the right to a future!

Story

Hello there!

Thank you for stopping by! :)

This July I will be volunteering at the Rosie May Home, which is a home for children in need especially after the Tsunami in 2004, in Sri Lanka. My two lovely friends and I will be spending a month empowering young children through education. I support this charity because it is 100% ethical, family orientated and their aim is to raise kind, beautiful and happy children! To do so I need to fundraise £600 before the trip, I am also selling some of my belongings on Depop (username: queennicki) and a few of my drawings:) (If interested contact me!)

ANY help from you would be AWESOME!!

Now let me introduce you to the ROSIE MAY FOUNDATION!

The Rosie May Memorial Fund is a registered UK charity and was founded in January 2004 in response to overwhelming donations from the public following the murder of Rosie May the only daughter of Graham & Mary Storrie. In 2008 the Rosie May Home opened its doors to five children and currently is a home to 20 happy, bright little souls! Every girl is nurtured an individual to enable them to achieve their full potential and empower them to strive for a brighter and better future. Girls continue to be supported when they leave the Rosie May home to find employment or progress to higher education. The Rosie May Home is a FAMILYLife skills are taught by our dedicated and committed house mothers. Traditional and cultural ways such as cooking on the outdoor wood oven are passed down to the girls, essential for their future survival, as they strive to develop into independent young women.
