Story
This fund is to be used to help convert the RRC Rescue Vehicle which was kindly donated. The cab does not tilt due to the box being added by the previous owners. It has a bad oil leak and the cab needs to tilt to service the fault.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in memory of Red Rum. I am sure if he were alive today he would gladly donate to Racehorse Rescue. He was born on the 3rd of May 1965 I was there when he switched the lights on in Blackpool in 1977 and watched him win the Grand National the same year. He was loved by all and after living 17 years in retirement as a national celebrity and annually leading the Grand National Parade passed away on the 18th October 1995. His final resting place is at the winning post of the Aintree Racecourse.
His epitaph reads "Respect this place / this hallowed ground / a legend here / his rest has found / his feet would fly / our spirits soar / he earned our love forever more"
