Story

So for those who know me well (and for those who don’t) next year I will be turning the big 5oh and, since doing a bungy jump some 25+ years ago, I have a mahoosive fear of heights! So at the coffee van at work one morning, following a rather big school night out, I saw a sign saying Jump for Joy for the Smile for Georgie Foundation and there and then decided that I needed to challenge myself before the big 5oh and throw myself (actually I’ll be pushed) out of a plane!! I then managed to persuade a reluctant Tim Paluch, who also works at Trust Corporation International, to join me. So, on Sunday 25 August we will be Jumping for Joy out of a plane landing at the aerodrome to the L’Eree eh 😬 I’m not going to lie the closer it gets the more I’m 💩ing myself but it is for a fabulous charity so I can’t back out now!!

Any donations would be very much appreciated and if anyone wants to witness me 💩 myself, please feel free to come and watch 😂 We have a 12pm slot but it could be within a 4 hour period. Would love to see you there to join me for a drink if I survive 😬😘

About the charity

Following the tragic road traffic accident in July of 2017 the family of Georgie Le Prevost wanted to do something positive and decided to raise money through a sponsored, tandem parachute jump with Jersey skydive. Annie and Jenny Le Prevost were overwhelmed with the immense public support and generosity of Guernsey people who made a vast number of donations to their Just Giving page. This generosity prompted the family to consider ways in which they could make a positive contribution to the Island in memory of Georgie and this is how the concept of the “Smile For Georgie Foundation” emerged. The Foundation was officially registered on the 31st January 2018, with the purpose of making a difference and bringing smiles to the people of Guernsey through small acts of kindness. Those who knew Georgie will appreciate the positive contribution she made to life and the smile she had for everyone. The Foundation intends to reflect her personality in all that is does and looks forward to receiving ongoing public support that will ensure its success
