We run 21 rehoming centres to save over 14,000 abandoned dogs annually

Story

Oakfield Old Dogs Home is a unique building situated at our Roden Rehoming Centre.

Just like people older dogs are not as resilient as the younger generation and it can be a lot harder for them to bounce back. Older dogs can find it hard to adjust to kennel life after living in a family home.

Oakfield is a house like any other except for its residents. Up to 12 older dogs will live here and see out their old age and get the extra care and attention they need in a home environment. The dogs are free to wander round where they want when they want there really is no other place like it.

The old Oakfield has recently been refurbished and rebuilt as part of the Overall rebuild of our Roden centre. And is due to reopen on November 15th 2010.

Oakfield is run like a normal house with all the fixtures and fittings of your own home. We have furnished the house with the basics but need a little extra help to buy the extra comforts an older dog enjoys.

We are looking to raise £2000 to help ensure these older dogs see out there days in comfort. Can you help?
