R.I.P OUR PRECIOUS AMBER: :( :( :(

Today, with much sorrow, we tragically lost one of our beautiful Mummys at the Rescue. :( :(
We’re all simply numb and devastated at such a terrible loss.
Amber initially arrived at the Rescue heavily pregnant at the beginning of May, she’d been cared for well by her previous finder. She'd been part of a stray colony and had arrived with her sister and siblings.
A stunning and very loveable girl, aged only 12-18 months of age, Amber was so deserving of a promising future ahead. She was simply beautiful in every way.
She gave birth to her babies last Sunday and has been such an amazing Mummy to them within this time.
This morning, a volunteer noticed her tummy had become distended. I took her to VetsNow immediately with her babies.
One of the most harrowing experiences I’ve endured :( :( …Amber had excessive fluid in her bladder and her uterus alike. She went into sudden, unexpected heart failure and suffered a heart attack.
The amazing team at VetsNow worked tirelessly with CPR to help Amber.
Sadly, she didn’t survive. :(

I cannot thank this team of professionals enough for their love, care and urgency to keep such a precious life. Unfortunately, little Amber was far too poorly and the onset so sudden.

There’s not a volunteer who isn’t numb and heartbroken by such a terrible loss of a young life. Amber was a stunning girl, she was so loveable. :(

I then had Ambers three surviving babies to consider and their needs with 24 hour care required.
Off I then travelled to Armac Vets..with Tiny Tito's crew at present I couldn't compromise these three babies in any way.
Emily McDonnell, God Bless her is now currently hand rearing Topsy,Tim and Tiny (whom I’ve named)…and she will pour her devotion into them, just as she did with Baby Ben.

As difficult as it was, I spent some time with our precious Amber following her passing, I kissed her and said a few prayers on behalf of all the volunteers at the Rescue who loved her so much. I don't think I've ever cried as much other than losing one of my own. This was so very tragic.
Amber will have an individual cremation and will come back home to the Rescue, with her pawprints…the place who offered her so much love and care during her last days.

We’re all so deeply saddened at the sudden loss of a young, beautiful and precious life.

The day I, we, harden to horrific experiences like this is the day we'll say goodbye to the World of Rescue.

Taken far, far too young Amber.

I promise you one thing baby Amber, you will live on in your precious babies.
