Berlin Marathon 25th September 2011

I am running my first marathon in a few weeks' time, and while I entered it as a personal challenge (no charity place for me), I’d also really like to be take the opportunity to raise some money in the process. I’ve decided to raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee East Africa famine appeal. I have the luxury of refuelling on some slap-up meals after my long runs, others do not, so please give generously – I’ll tell you my time if you do! 

UPDATE 26TH SEPTEMBER

As promised, here is my time, 3 hours 50min. It was a great sunny day in Berlin, and until the last three miles I thought it was fantastic fun. Thank you to all those whose encouraging words helped me through the finish line, and thanks for your sponsorship!
