Story

Hello and thanks for visiting our page.

Hopefully you already know one of us, if not, Hello !

We are Hards, Sam, Dunk and Hursty and we all work together at Rapide. Every three months or so we set a challenge for ourselves to keep life interesting. So far we have done tasks ranging from the 3 peaks challenge to Fishing for sharks off the coast of Wales (OK, they were tiny) and lots of running in between those. This is by far the hardest challenge to date, Paris Marathon on 11th April 2010.

We want to use this as an opportunity to raise money for a charity that is close to all of us, The Kids Kidney Appeal at Birmingham Children's Hospital. They are desperately asking for help to raise £1.5 million to relocate and refurbish the renal unit. The Unit will provide a bright, modern, open space designed, in part, by the children themselves.  It will provide the kind of environment the children richly deserve and in doing so will help relieve their anxiety, improve their treatment experience and ultimately aid quicker healing.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
