Hello everyone,

My 'milestone' birthday is imminent so it is an appropriate time for a Charity fundraising event!

David and I are planning to take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Sunday 2nd May 2010 to raise money for Epilepsy Action.

The circular walk is 24 miles long over the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside. The terrain is rugged, mountainous, and includes 1586 metres of ascent.

The challenge is to complete the circuit within 12 hours (conditions and little leggies permitting!).

Why have I chosen the Epilepsy Action? (The British Epilepsy Association)

My sister Linda never saw her 40th birthday - she died shortly before from a massive epileptic seizure.

We did it !! A memorable day - completed the circuit in under 10 hours!! Thankfully dry weather but cold!!
