Story

24 Hour Fitness Friendzy for CBC

Three ladies, who became friends at a Newark gym have decided to join forces to raise money for local charity, the Children’s Bereavement Centre.

Hannah Hancock, Sharon Roscoe and Victoria Cozens all met at Physical Health and Performance last year when each of them were facing their own personal weightloss challenges.

They decided to set a personal goal, as well as raising money for our vital local Charity, the Children’s Bereavement Centre, after seeing Joe Wicks complete a 24 hour exercise challenge towards the end of last year.

The girls have joined forces with Physical Health and Performance, as well as local Fitness Instructors to offer a variety of classes, that members of the public can join.

Victoria, a Zumba Instructor, will be joined by Heather’s Fitness offering a Clubbercise class and Lisa is bringing DRUM FITT to Farndon.

Victoria said ‘we are not your stereotypical fitness fanatics, but we’ve found a love for training at PHP and the community it’s created for us, and we want to offer people the opportunity to try a class that maybe you wouldn’t normally do or you’ve been meaning to start but lacked the confidence. We’ve been there and know how it feels.’

There is a different class available every hour to help support the girls
complete their 24 Hour Fitness Friendzy ranging from Bootcamp, HIIT and Rugby Fitness to Line Dancing and Zumba. There really is something for everyone, with a suggested donation of £5 per class.

The girls are also arranging a Raffle, gratefully supported by many of our local independent retailers and to tempt your tastebuds, there will be a cake sale too!
