A little something about my chosen charity. 

I’ve been fortunate to have been bought up and amongst strong women in my life.  Starting always with my mum whose love, faith, determination and guidance has blessed me daily and the man who has stood behind her, my dad.  Together they have empowered us to be strong women. Along with my sisters, aunts and friends that have helped shaped me into the woman I am today.  Not losing sight of my husband, brothers and friends along the way that saw me no different to their equal. Whilst I understand the privileges this brings, and makes me the woman I am today, I feel saddened by those others who are unable to feel the same pride. 

In some some parts of this world females are seen as a burden to their families and are abandoned at birth due the financial and emotional burdens their families feel. 

Thankfully there are charities such as Unique Home for Girls in Jalandhar, Punjab, India that provide a home for abandoned and orphaned girls. The home is ran by a lady called Bibi Parkash Kaur. She has devoted her life to these girls so that they can have a rich life.  In order to support these girls, the home requires our help through this charity.

This year, I ask for your help to raise funds that can be sent over to this home.
