Panthea's Making samano for Norouz 1395

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Similar to previous two years, I'm making Samano from scratch for Norouz 1395. I will be making as many jars of samano as possible and if you're in London there will be a first come first serve basis. The money will go to Iran's Children Charity (ICC) which is a UK based charity engaged in various important projects in Iran. One of the trustees is linked to the Mofid children hospital, but they also help many orphanages, such as the Bagheri boys orphanage and other children related causes all around Iran.
It's important to mention that this Norouz, ICC are engaged in two exciting projects.
The first project is to treat the Bagheri orphanage for teenage boys with a Norouz excursion into town with a minibus and give them pocket money to buy themselves "eidi". Over the last 6 years the charity has been providing the orphanage with funds to refurbish the facility, buy books for university entry test (konkoor), plus sports and leisure facilities. The charity continues to work with the orphanage to provide these boys with more pleasing living conditions and aid to help with further education.
The other project is new and involves helping the children and families of brick makers based 140km south of Tehran, near Mahmoud Abad. These brick makers have moved to this deserted area that doesn't have any facilities to accommodate families such as school, doctor or even a tree. The brick workers and their families have built their homes in this so called "biaboon" but they still lack many basic amenities. Their homes don't even have toilet so they have been using a public one without any walls. This is of course very disturbing and most recently shower and toilet facility has been built by private donors. A school has also been put in place and a teacher is hired to teach primary education to the children. The wives of the brick makers are taught trades, such as knitting. All of these activities need funds to continue and this is where ICC comes in to help.
In the past two years you have all been very generous and we have been able to raise more than I ever anticipated. I am therefore very grateful for your contributions and encouragement to continue this work. It may be a drop in the ocean, but this time of the year I feel it's important that we all do our part to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
