Hi freinds, family and colleagues.

Thanks for coming to this website which ive set up to raise money for my dad.

My dad, Laurence, was diagnosed with a terminal blood cancer (Myeloma) a few weeks ago only 8 months after retiring from a shop he ran for over 20 years. My mum really has really struggled to care for him as he has been very poorly, unable to walk to the toilet at times and nearly dying in hospital of pneumonia and sceptacemia.

Fortunately, the hospital which saved my dad's life (William Harvey in Ashford, Kent), put him in touch with the Pilgrims Hospice, a charity funded organisation devoted to helping families cope with terminal illness.  They have been a lifesaver for my mum and really helped her with all the practical and emotional support they could need. They have visited every other day and a nurse stays for a good couple of hours, listening, offering advise and offering to take over should my mum need a rest. They have promised my mum they can be contaced 24/7. This really helps.
