Fundraising for YMCA Exeter
Story
Firstly thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Saturday 14th March, 2015, I will be joining Exeter Labour colleagues and will be sleeping rough so others don't have to by spending a night out under the stars in Exeter an attempt to help beat youth homelessness in Devon.
Sleep Easy gives people the chance to experience the issues of rough sleeping whilst in a safe and fun environment.
With your donation together with Exeter YMCA we can help make a positive and powerful change to the lives of young people in our community.
Sleep rough so others don’t have to.
Sleep Easy is a YMCA fundraising challenge which aims to raise awareness about and help change the lives of vulnerable young people.
All of the money raised went directly to supporting YMCA Housing projects across Exeter, projects which provide safe, secure and supported housing for vulnerable young people with no home and equipping them with the tools they need to build brighter futures.
Last year's Sleep Easy raised over £25,000, and with your support, this year YMCA Exeter can help even more young people into safe and secure accommodation.
An idea of how your money will be spent:
£60 could provide a brand new kit for a resident, including a duvet, pillow, cutlery and crockery.
£180 could provide 6 group sessions a year, such as job clubs, cooking classes and budgeting skills, for 8 young people.
£500 could provide 2 months support for 4 young people living in YMCA Exeter's move-on house.
£5000 covers all costs for a resident to live with us for 9 months.
