My eldest daughter reached half my age this year, so we felt we should do something valuable together to mark the occasion. A number of people close to me have, over the past few years, found themselves in the difficult position of having to care for terminally ill parents. Many of them have spoken of the valuable support they have received from the hospice that cared for their parents during those last, emotionally difficult months. Hospice UK promotes clinical excellence in hospices,
