Story

Hello all

My names Paul Jenkins.

I'm a lifelong Warrington wolves and RL fan.Ever since I became aware of Steves illness and his work to raise money, I was determined to do something significant to help his cause.I wish I'd had the honour to meet him but he was taken away before that was possible.

I will be cycling approx 1600kms from the NW of England in mid July 2014,  to Perpignan in the South of France.

I'll be leaving after the St Helens v Bradford game on Fri 11/07/14 and the Warrington v London game on Sun 13/07/14 and aiming to arrive in Perpignan for the Catalan v Warrington game on Fri 01/08/14.

I'll also be aiming to take in as many French rugby league towns on the way also.

At the moment there is just the HJ to Perpignan facebook page and this page, but I'll soon have a webpage up and running for the challenge also.

Although some may see this as a huge challenge, it is absolutely nothing compared to the feats Steve acheived, even with his illness.

The foundation that Steve started raises money for The Christie hospital and TryAssist charities.

Apart from material help I can get from sponsors, I'm funding my challenge myself, so anything raised by this challenge will go straight to the foundation.

Lets raise as much cash as possible for his cause. It may only be a couple of quid ,but thats fine.Just give something if you can.

Cheers

Paul
