Dear All
For those of you who know my active way of life, it may come as no surprise that I am taking part in an adventurous round Britain challenge; however rather than being of a competitive nature, this is an environmental RIB challenge leaving Portland Harbour in Dorset on Saturday 12th June, taking in the west coast of Ireland, the Outer Hebrides, Orkney’s and returning down the east and south coast of Britain back to Portland.
During this tough twelve day voyage, each crew member will be observing the marine life, birds and general environment encountered, including reporting and photographing basking sharks, dolphins, whales, in fact everything relating to the wonderful creatures and landscapes that are a part of this amazing coastline.
What really makes this challenge extra special for me however, is that I also have the opportunity to support my daughter Ali in her work as the Director of Care at ‘Julia's House’, a Poole based children's hospice providing respite and end of life care to children with life limiting and life threatening conditions.
Any contribution you are able to donate will be most gratefully received and make completing this extreme challenge all the more worthwhile; ALL the money raised will go to support the hospice.
I look forward to updating you along the journey...please do come back to the website to track our progress www.skelligofsark.com and the www.greatbritishribrally.co.uk
Thank you,
Paul Lemmer
