Back in September 08, Paul Curry, Steve Spicer, Carl Spencer and myself decided to ‘do something different’ and so we entered the First Monster Loch Ness 120k Team Challenge.

The end of the Journey is now in sight - Saturday 12th September 2009.
Each competitor has to complete a run and a bike ride totaling 30k+, and it is against the clock (and a small matter of 280+ other teams)! And guys being guys, we want to end up in the top 100!
From a personal point of view I will be leading the team off on an early dawn start on a tough 10km run before I endure an equally if not more tougher 22km bike ride...
It will be a full year after first starting out, and I thought I would share a few milestones I have enjoyed on the way:
• Losing 1.6 stone in body weight, (for a tall lanky fella is impressive)
• Progressing from running 3 miles and wanting to collapse to being able to run 10miles+
• Running over 700miles
• Biking over 600miles
• Countless sessions in the gym
My team and I are running for the 'MacMillan Cancer Support' charity, and with the recent passing of my Grandad and Amanda’s sisters ongoing battle with breast cancer I want to help in anyway I can.
One of my team members has already raised over £1100 and we would love to make it a combined total of £1500. I am conscious that times are hard, however I have put in so much work in trying to work towards this massive achievement so would be very grateful for any contribution you could make.
