Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit  my JustGiving page!

In April 2019, my family and I will be attempting the long and difficult Trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. The Trek will take 14 days in total, covering 130 km, in high altitude regions. I have completed lots of preparation for the Trek, including the National three peaks: Scafell Pike, Snowdon and Ben Nevis in October 2018 and although slightly nervous, am extremely excited to take part in the challenge. We will get the opportunity to visit some schools and see how the Sherpa children live within the beautiful Himalayan mountain villages. The homes in which some of the children live are very basic and often extreme conditions, with no heating, electricity or hot running water. Some of our Trek costs will go towards supporting the local families in Nepal,  and this has inspired me to use the opportunity to try and raise some money for other children in need around the world.

My own school: Stonyhurst Saint Marys Hall, support fundraising events by children for children, this includes the Xavier Project. The Xavier Project has been working in East Africa for over 10 years and offers educational opportunities to refugees of all ages. They believe education is the best tool to enable refugee children to live safer and more fulfilled lives, that will offer them a brighter future despite their background circumstances.

Any amount donated will be greatly appreciated!
