Story
I will be attempting to climb Mount Elbus, the tallest in Europe, at the end of August to raise enough money for 250 cataract eye operations in the Third World. I am doing the climb and raising money for Sightsavers International in the memory of my dear grandmother who passed away two months ago.
The 11 day expedition involves tackling the more difficult western approach to the 5,462 metre Elbrus. This makes the climb one of the more challenging mountaineering exercises in Europe and the Caucuses. I am doing the climb with my friend Kostyantyn Syvokhin.
Every £35 raised will save a pair of eyes suffering from cataract. I would be grateful for your generous donation, as this makes a transformational change to the life of those who can see again.
Many thanks,
Pendar
