HELP US TO RAISE FUNDS FOR WORLD CLASS DIABETES  RESEARCH RIGHT HERE IN PLYMOUTH AT PENINSULA MEDICAL SCHOOL.

Each year the fantastic people at the Royal Western Yacht Club and the Eleanor Creeke Charitable Settlement organise a charity yacht race.  The prizes go to the nominated charities and it provides crews with the opportunity to raise funds for their favourite charity as well.

The race is from Plymouth around the Eddystone Light and back to Plymouth.  It's a marathon, well, 26 Miles of sailing.  This year John Meyrick has volunteered YANULA to be crewed by staff from Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry (PCMD) for the race.  He's really kind like that and its amazing what a few pints will do to persuade him.

The crew consist of people who work here at PCMD who are interested in sailing but have never raced a yacht before.  So it will be an interesting and learning experience for most of us and while we are doing the race hopefully we will also raise some funds for medical research here at PCMD.
