Story

Penistone Ladies Circle is excited to announce Penistone Boundary Walk will take place during the month of May 2022 to help raise funds for The Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes.

The Whiteknights are an emergency voluntary service that provides the NHS a free of charge urgent out of hours transportation service. They work with hospitals in South, West and North Yorkshire.

The event invites previous and new walkers to complete the Penistone Boundary Walk any day in the month of May. The walk is a 16 or 8 mile walk (or run!) around the boundary of the historic market town of Penistone, starting and finishing at Cubley Hall. A map and narrative of the route can be found at www.penistoneboundarywalk.co.uk

To enable more people to complete a walk, Ladies Circle have designed a 2 mile option that circumnavigates round the town of Penistone. It has been tested for small legs and pushchairs – so why not get the children out and spot some of the wonderful local heritage sites Penistone has to offer. A map will be made available via the Ladies Circle Facebook Page or by emailing penistoneboundarywalk@gmail.com.

The entry fee for the Boundary Walk is a suggested donation of £5, or £2 for the Penistone Pathway. Sponsorship is also encouraged with monies going to The Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes

Walkers are encouraged to share pictures of their adventures on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #PenistoneBoundaryWalk.
