It's done! 23 riders, 367 miles, 4 days, 12 punctures! Absolutely fantastic experience and many thanks to all who sponsored me!

Thanks to all who have sponsored so far, I have now raised the target to £2000 - unbelievable support so far!

In September 2010 I will be riding my bicycle for 350 miles from Aylesbury (UK) to () to raise money for The PACE Centre.

“Why is he doing that?” you may well ask, well my wonderful niece Emma has benefited greatly from attending PACE and I wanted to help out a bit.  Please take a minute to watch the short video “Emma’s Story” and you will get an idea of the work that PACE does.

What is The PACE Centre? At PACE, children with physical disabilities such as cerebal palsy find their own voice, walk their own steps and discover that they can fully enjoy everyday life and become active members of society. Cerebral palsy is a physical condition affecting movement as a result of damage to the brain.

PACE believes in each child’s ability to learn despite their disability. PACE provides a loving and inspirational environment, motivating children with physical disabilities to work hard at achieving goals with a focus on "educating for life" – developing a child’s social, emotional, communication, academic and motor skills.

So what can you do to help? PACE needs £100,000 each year just to fund it's vital early years service for children as young as 6 months (just one area of PACE's work), every year hundreds of volunteers like me need to raise money to keep this amazing service going, as PACE receives no statutory funding at all for this input.  You can see for yourself just how effective your money will be - transforming young lives.  Every penny raised is used efficiently and is vital to all the children and families who benefit from PACE.
