Story
Hello
My name is Pete Goldring...so..........last May I ran my first marathon after my friend James Elson persuaded me to. After 3 months training I ran it in 3.44. I got a real buzz fom completing my first marathon and became hooked on running. Over the last year I have run 2 marathons, a half marathon and a 15 mile race. I now like to run anything from 40- 60 miles a week. Recently I ran a 45 mile ultra marathon starting in Aylesbury and finishing in Paddington in 8 hours and 6 mins, this is the hardest thing I have ever done but gave me a great buzz - here are some videos if your interested which James took during the race which detail what we had to go through and thanks to James for pacing me!!!!

I feel that running has now become a major part of my life and I love the buzz of completing these challenges. Anyway, I thought with this being quite a big event, it would be good to run this for charity...I have decided to run for Parkinsons disease as my Grandfather suffered from Parkinsons before he died and feel it would be a good charity to support....every penny counts and I would like to say thanks very much for sponsoring me!!!!! I will keep you all updated on how the race goes with daily blogs if your interested Thanks Pete
