Event: Great North Run 2010
We provide palliative and end of life care to patients & families across West Cumbria

Story

On the 19th September I will be attempting the Great North Run.
My chosen charity is Hospice at Home West Cumbria .

The reason I have chose to raise money for this charity is simple.
I have recently witnessed first hand that anyone of us can be struck down by a life threatening or fatal illness.
In these situations, Hospice at Home provide invaluable support to patients and their loved ones.
They are instrumental in providing both medical and emotional support which removes a huge burden from nursing relatives thus allowing more quality time
for patients and their families.

Hospice at Home works very closely with the NHS who cover a third of their costs & they have to raise approximately £7,500 a week to cover the rest.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated
