Story

My work colleague, Corinnes' daughter, Terri was diagnosed with cancer in 2009 at the age of 18, and after undergoing both chemotherapy and radiotherapy, she has thankfully recovered and since had a gorgeous little girl.  During this very emotional time, Corinne & Terri decided to set up a project called Caring For Me (CFM) which gives 6 sessions of complementary therapy to those in Suffolk coping with a cancer prognosis, and the project has been so successful that CFM has evolved and now become part of Cancer Campaign in Suffolk's Community Complementary Therapies (CCiS).

I continue to work with Corinne, and for the Woodbridge Complementary Health Centre which provides the venue for this treatment to take place with a selection of truly great therapists.

It is therefore a project which is very dear to me, and that's why I have decided to take part in the Whole Hog obstacle course at Wantisden Valley in October with Terri.  Ten of us will be crawling under cargo nets, climbing up steep banks, wading through rivers, tunnels, slides, jumps and swings whilst getting very cold, wet and muddy!  But this is nothing compared to the "battle" that cancer sufferers, and their dearest and nearest, face every day!

For more information on this project, please take a look at the CCiS website on https://www.caringforme.org.uk

Thank you so much for your very  kind donation.  It really means a lot to me and to everyone involved with CCiS Caring For Me.
