We support people with mental ill-health to achieve their goals & build new futures

Story

DreamingFish has been working with Oakleaf this year creating a series of videos to help Oakleaf raise money to support people with mental health needs in the local community. These are already helping raise money, but we felt that we could do more...though this isn't quite what I had in mind!!

Oakleaf Enterprise is a charity based in Guildford which has been supporting adults with mental health needs in Surrey for the past 25 years. In addition to mental ill-health, many of those supported by the charity also suffer from low confidence, poverty and extreme social isolation, often alienated from family and friends. Oakleaf aims to help people secure the skills, confidence and training needed to achieve their goals, with a focus on returning to the workplace. To do this they deliver work-related training and employment support, wellbeing activities, counselling and 1:1 emotional support.

“My confidence in myself and self-worth have really improved. I feel that there is somewhere I can go, be totally myself and feel supported…I can be me with all my issues and difficulties and still feel normal and not feel that I have to hide behind a mask.”
