Story

Hi my name is Phil and I’m training to run my third London Marathon for Stickler Syndrome UK.

They are a small charity and therefore rely on the work of fundraisers to help support the vital work they do each year. I ran for them last year raising £1800 and it was great to know this money would have a positive impact in improving people’s lives. As soon as I finished last year’s race I immediately knew I wanted to run and support them again in 2024.

Stickler Syndrome is a genetic condition that affects 1 in every 7500 new born babies and can lead to eye abnormalities, hearing loss, and joint problems. It is not that widely known among the general public and the charity does a lot of amazing work at promoting awareness amongst medical professionals and the wider public.

They also provide support to people that have been diagnosed with stickler syndrome.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
