Macmillan Cancer Support is a really important charity to me. Two years ago my mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and she sadly died last August. We had a roller coaster couple of years, with some highs dispersed among the lows. But Macmillan nurses were constantly there in the background, offering vital assistance and support, and playing the essential role of coordinating all the help that was out there.

Our family are really grateful for everything Macmillan have done and I am thrilled to be able to help raise some money for such an important and worthwhile cause. 

Now all I need to do is get round 10K of Manchester's streets in a time that isn't embarrassing. I'm aiming for 45 minutes. Phew!
