Story

Ploddle - small people learning to save the world one piece of litter at a time....

We are the toddlers and preschoolers of Peter Pan Preschool Bath. When we grow up we want to SAVE THE WORLD, so we are starting small by inventing PLODDLING. Pick Up Litter Toddling. (It's like 'Plogging' (pick up litter jogging) that those hipster grown ups are doing but for small people!).

As well as cleaning up our community we wanted to help fundraise for our brilliant preschool Peter Pan (which is a not for profit charity preschool in Newbridge Bath) so please will you help sponsor us for all the rubbish we plan on collecting in the two week period 11th-24th June.

Our Grown-Ups will be taking us out and about during the fortnight with high vis vests and litter pickers and rubbish bags and we will collect as much safe rubbish as we can (Our grown ups will help us identify this- we already know no rubbish on the road is safe to pick up!) .

We will be reporting back how much litter we collect on this page and adding some photos and videos of our adventures. We will also be learning more about Litter in Preschool with some help from staff in Environmental Services at Bath and North East Somerset Council.

Please sponsor us even just for the price of a coffee (in a reusable cup obviously!).

Thanks

Peter Pan Preschool Ploddle Gang of 2018

About the charity

Peter Pan Pre-school was established over 40 years ago by a group of volunteer parents. Over the years we have grown and developed into the flourishing pre-school we are today. We currently provide pre-school care for around 40 children (a maximum of 24 children per session) aged between 2 and statutory school age. We are a registered charity and are managed by an elected voluntary committee made up of parent volunteers. We are a non-profit making organisation committed to providing pre-school care and education for all children in the local area.
