Story
Hi! Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are Twin Peaks AKA Kate Hart, Jane Harrison, Jacqueline Epifanie, Louisa Lawrence, Amy Brown and Sarah Hobson from the Propositions team in Staines
For one weekend only, we are exchanging our high heels and handbags for rucksacks and walking boots as we take part in the One British Gas Challenge in conjunction with the Duke of Edinburgh's award.
We will be hiking up to 10 miles on the rough terrain of the Peak District with some steep climbs and descents as we navigate our way from checkpoint to checkpoint. There will be mental & physical challenges along the way and when we finally complete the walk we then have to set up camp.
We will be leaving our daily comforts at home and testing our skills to the limit all in aid of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. This is a charity dedicated to the development of young people. They help 14-25 year olds from every possible background to develop the attitudes and skills they need to succeed in life. Over 30,000 of their participants are from disadvantaged backgrounds. By donating money you are helping then turn even more lives around, thank you so much for your support.
Between us we need to raise a minimum of £660 but it would be great if we could raise a lot more! Anything you can donate would be really appreciated and goes to a fantastic cause!
And now for the legal bit:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
