Story
On the 16th October a group of brave souls will endeavour to summit the three highest mountain peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in under 24 hours. The '3 Peaks Challenge' will begin with Ben Nevis in Scotland, followed by Scafell Pike in the Lake District and finishing with Snowdon in North Wales!
The challenge has been organised by James Dyer and Ed Dunn to raise funds for the Royal British Legion. Any money raised will help them to continue delivering high quality support, advice and assistance to serving and former members of the armed forces. It is hoped a significant proportion of the fundraising will go towards helping the RBL establish a new adventure training and rehabilitation unit.
In January 2011 James and Ed will be attempting to climb Aconcagua in South America, the highest mountain in the world outside of the Himalayas. They will undertake the ascent of the 6962 metre summit un-guided and in 'lightweight alpine style'. The Royal British Legion are backing the attempt and James and Ed will be aiming to raise significant funds for their causes, which have increased as a result of the recent operational commitments of the British armed forces.
PLEASE SUPPORT US IN THESE CHALLENGES AND BE SURE TO FOLLOW JAMES AND ED'S PROGRESS IN JANUARY.
