Story

UPDATE!

Last year I had to duck out of the Hever Castle Triathlon after a pretty nasty ankle injury (Ladies 5-a-side is brutal) and I was truly gutted.

I have recovered well and I'm staying true to my word - I'm taking part in the 2019 Crystal Palace Triathlon on 12th May.

It's my debut tri and I'll be participating in the sprint race:

750m swim followed by 20km bike ride/race lapping Crystal Palace Park, finishing with a 5km run to the finish line.

I have wanted to take part in a triathlon since I was a kid and after crawling my way through a Tough Mudder course a few years ago with a group of friends I made a pact to do at least one physically and mentally challenging event every year.

Great Ormond Street Hospital was a familiar place to me growing up. I had been under the care of consultants, doctors and nurses there for the first 16 years of my life. Their expert care and knowledge saved my life just as they save and change hundreds of other children's lives each day. The money you donate will help purchase up-to-date equipment, fund vital research and provide accommodation and many other support services for children and their families.

Please sponsor me in this mad venture and donate what you can - no amount is too small as every penny counts :)

See you at the finish line..?! Or the pub!

Raevennan :)
