Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We’ve all been training hard for the Chris Hoy Edinburgh Half Marathon and hopefully by the time the 18
th April comes we’ll all be prepared to run the 13 mile course.
We have decided to try and raise some money for “Help for Heroes” so please dig deep and help us make the run as worthwhile as possible. To find out more about how Help for Heroes spends donations visit the following link:

Here’s what some of us are thinking about the run...
Lynne - I never thought pounding the streets of Edinburgh would be fun...but it is. After finally (4
th time lucky) running a 10km in under the hour, my new target is completing a half marathon. I’m confident I’ll finish it – just maybe not on the same day I start it....
Colin - This is my 2
nd ½ marathon and I am hoping to drop 2 minutes 26 seconds from my previous time and get under 2hrs. Training is ongoing and hard. I’ve got sore feet but hopefully doing this for a worthy charity will make it all worthwhile. Please give as generously as you can to the charity, and if you’ve got any spare plasters then please send them direct to me!!
Laura - This will be my first half marathon so it’s a big personal challenge. I started running last year and did the Edinburgh 10k in May 2009 in about 66 minutes. When I entered this race I wanted to finish with a decent race time but the closer it gets to the big day the more I just hope I can cross the finishing line. Yes, I am really quite nervous about it!
