In a moment of madness, the four of us (Ben, Clayton, Liam and Mike) thought it would be a 'good' idea to cycle from Aberdeen to London (because its not as far as Lands End - John O'Groats)!
To help keep up the motivation to suffer through driving wind and rain, we decided to do it all for charity and as employees of a company that works offshore, we chose the RNLI, a vitally important organisation that receives no government funding but is relied upon as a 4th emergency service in coastal areas and offshore.
Not only do they risk their own safety in harsh weather helping commercial shipping, holiday makers and fishermen, they're also one of the first to rescue injured people from offshore installations or ditched helicopters. A worthwhile cause I'm sure you'll agree!
