Story
Dear Friends,
I'm running the Reading half marathon on 20th March 2011 to raise funds for World Wildlife Fund (WWF), to support projects around the world that protect endangered wildlife and take action on climate change.
Those of you who know me well will appreciate the fact that I have not yet set the world of athletics alight, but I am passionate about the green agenda and environmental causes. So I'm hoping this will be my moment where I can make a small but much needed difference by taking on this crazy challenge.
I shall be posting some updates. So watch this space…..
Bit of blurb on the charity:
WWF is the world’s leading independent conservation organisation. They're tackling the most serious conservation challenges facing the planet, building a future where people and nature thrive together. That's why WWF is passionate about sharing the planet’s resources more sustainable, taking action on climate change and protecting. For more info on how your donations will make a difference please goto
The Challenge:
I have set an extreme stretch target of 2 hour 10 minutes to complete the run. This will involve A LOT of training and even more PAIN, so please dig deep to support me.
Many thanks,
Ruchi.
PS – For those of you who live in or around Reading please come and join me and my other crazy friends who will be embarking on this adventure. Who knows I might be persuaded to strap a large stuff toy Panda on my back. We’ll see….
