Thank you to Rosie, Juliet, Miriam and Claire for baking fantastic muffins, fairy cakes and fruit loaf to raise more funds (raising £42) for Marie Curie and to fill our bellies on warm Friday.

David and I spent 2 months at the Marie Curie Hospice in Newcastle.  The support they provided to us during that time made a stressful and traumatic experience, tolerable and always treated David with the utmost respect and dignity.  It costs over £400 per day to care for a cancer patient, I hope to repay some of that debt by taking this challenge.

I chose the Skye and Cuillin hills challenge as David and I planned to go walking in Austria this year for our summer holiday.  Two days travelling one day walking is a long way from the Austrian mountains but all the money raised goes to Marie Curie and I am sure I will meet some lovely people on the way.
