In July 2010 I will be travelling to Uganda with Leeds RAG to build classrooms in developing schools. We will be working with the charity Soft Power Education.

In Uganda a law has been passed which states that the first 2 boys and the first 2 girls born to every family have the right to free primary school education. In reality however there aren't nearly enough schools or teachers to accommodate all these kids. So, Soft Power works with the Ugandan government to build extra classrooms in existing schools, this does not only reduce class sizes but Soft Power also has an agreement with the Ugandan government that for every classroom the charity builds, the government will provide a teacher.

I need to raise £500 to pay for the building materials, local builder's wages and my beans and rice on the project! Its a really good cause so even if you can only give 10p I would be extremely grateful every little helps!
