I first became aware of the incredible work that Nightline do when I started my mental health nursing degree at Manchester University. Several months into my course I experienced first-hand how important the service they provide is when one of my close friends was struggling and needed someone to talk to, often at night when friends and family were sometimes harder to get hold of. One in four people live with mental health problems and whilst there are many support services available during the day, it is often at night when people feel at their most vulnerable and need someone to talk to.
