Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In a fit of insanity, we have signed up for a mountain triathlon, taking place in the Lake District in late May. If you've ever visited the lakes, you'll realise that we'll likely be braving the elements as well as pushing ourselves beyond reasonable endurance as we embark on a trek up and down Helvelyn, the third highest peak in England. Having completed the easy bit, we kayak 12km over Ulswater and finish with a gentle 29km mountain bike around the undulations of the Northern Lakes. You might think we are crazy to embark upon this - indeed, you would be right - but it's all in an excellent cause and in the memory of Sophie Drury who fought ovarian cancer for ten years before losing her battle at the age of 34.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
We really appreciate anything you can spare for this excellent cause - and hope you'll in any event spare a thought for us as squally showers descend on the Lakes on 20th May (that's next Thursday - crikey!).
