Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page, and thanks for the donation I hope your about to make! I have signed up to participate in the Hever Castle Triathlon (400m swim, 20k hilly bike ride and 4k run) on September 25th as a follow up to my (painful) prior fundraising efforts in the London 10k run. Those who know me (or play football with me) know I am not exactly in triathlete condition so this will be a massive challenge for me, with less than 4 weeks of training less to get myself race ready. I have set myself a target of 1 hour 40 minutes to complete the race - if I fall short I shall be making a donation/penalty contribution to the fundraising pot as well.

Below I have provided some details about my chosen charity, The Oscar Foundation, which I have chosen in order to support some friends who started the charity (with more on the reasons for that below).

If you are able to make any donation at all it would be much appreciated  - even if its only a few quid it will all be going to a good cause. And if you want real value for money feel free to pop along and watch me in my skin-tight tri-suit on race day...a sight to test the senses I am sure!

Cheers

The Oscar Foundation was launched in March 2010 in memory of Oscar Tuffield. The aim of the Foundation is to provide all the 'extra' services and pieces of equipment for sick and homeless children from all over UK and Third World Countries.  From state-of-the-art medical equipment to emergency funding for children that need life saving treatment. Every project they aim to fund will hopefully help sick children get better or provide a much needed home to those who are left abandoned on the streets.

The Foundation is committed to being completely transparent with no salries, fees or overhead costs (bar this justgiving site which is necessary from an administration perspective, fees come from gift aid), any additional costs are funded for by the trustees. This means that all money raised will go to where it is needed.
