Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
i will be running the BUPA great north run on the 19 September on behalf of The Prostate Cancer Charity.
My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1991and after battling with the cancer for 14 years he died in November 2005
As this year is the fifth anniversary of his death in his memory i hope to raise about £1000.00 for the charity, and to spread the word about the disease, as it doesn't seem to get the same level of attention that other cancers get,
Men really need to know about it as it the most common cancer in men in the uk.
35000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year in the uk with one dying every hour
