Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a degenerative neuromuscular
condition which causes progressive muscular weakness and loss of movement due to muscle wasting.  SMA Support provide information,
guidance and support to individuals and families affected by the condition as well as funding and facilitating research into potential treatments.  

My brother was diagnosed with SMA as a baby
and, at a time when very little was known about the condition, SMA Support provided invaluable support and assistance to my family so it is a charity that means a lot to me personally.
